Lei is a warm, patient, and creative voice and piano teacher, always keen to assimilate new ideas to enrich her teaching perspectives. Being dedicated to music education for years, Lei has been adept at perceiving students' learning desire and designing personalised methods for individuals. Her lessons are full of joy as she is not only engage students in learning activities, but also guiding students to be creative and musical.

Lei has been attending a variety of performances and festivals. She encourages and helps her students to participate in music programs and competitions.

Voice Teaching: apart from the systematic study in both Western classical voice and Chinese traditional singing techniques, Lei has absorbed a wide range of music styles through a highly self-motivated way; thus she believes enjoying what we are doing right now is just as important as formal learning and fuses different music genres into teaching. Students are not learning techniques but also gaining artistic sensitivity in performing music.

Piano teaching: excellent piano skills are achieved by the painstaking accumulation of step by step; therefore, Lei would ensure students are capable of relating the skills they already grasp to new technique and theories. By carefully scaffolding a solid learning network, learning piano cultivates concentration and confidence. Piano students in Lei's class are encouraged to sing the melody and play with rhythmic games as Lei believes that solid fundamental stills will ensure the future positive development.

I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with my students. Since starting as a professional music teacher in 2002 in Wuhan China and later in 2014 in Sydney, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible.
